Saturdays, 12:00–2:00 PM CST
October 17 – November 14, 2026
Live on Zoom
What you'll learn
In this five-week seminar, we'll build the tools to turn an idea into a fully realized dramatic world. Each session focuses on a different piece of the craft:
Developing a strong dramatic premise and finding your play's central question
Building character voice, specificity, and want
Using setting and place as an active storytelling force, not just backdrop
Structuring scenes that move your world forward
Turning notes and fragments into real pages on the page
Who this is for
This course is beginner-friendly and designed for working professionals who've always wanted to write their first play but haven't had the structure or community to start. No prior playwriting experience required — just a willingness to show up and write.
